What do we do when we don’t know what to do?

“What do I do? I don’t know what to do?Just writing that statement, I can feel a tightening of my chest and a vision in my mind of wanting to scream and pull my hair out simultaneously. Our world is struggling, and likewise, the people that inhabit it are also struggling. Stress is appearing around every corner, from the juggling of daily life, to the unknown of the financial crisis, so it is no wonder that people feel like they are teetering on the edge of insanity, coming ever closer to a hole of discomfort.

How many of you have asked yourself this question this week? Maybe it has been whilst driving the kids to school, or simply upon waking in the morning.

“What do I do? I don’t know what to do?"

Just writing that statement, I can feel a tightening of my chest and a vision in my mind of wanting to scream and pull my hair out simultaneously.

When I started out in my own business, I soon realised that this stress was because more and more intense and that my key area of work would be around supporting an individual to be able to manage some of these stresses and strains, to be able to create a toolbox of strategies that they could access at any given point, and likewise, be able to draw upon their resilience and strength when needed.

More so important was the ability to support an individual in putting their needs first, to be okay to step off the wheel of chaos and rest, reflect and recoup as and when required.

This is why my coaching is different.

A client recently said to me -

“I really understand now why you need to be a Hybrid Coach - you are SO much more than a business coach - actually, I don’t even know if I would say you are that, although my business has gone from strength to strength too!”

I had to chuckle at her complex look as she tried to puzzle and answer as to exactly what I was and what I did. But more curious to her was how I did it.

“That’s why it can be difficult to market myself” I laughed. How do you talk about the “woo-wise” of coaching - of getting people to believe in the best versions of themselves, to live it, and then see everything else improve like a domino?

I still don’t know if I know the answer. But what I do know is that it WORKS. I know that the stress and strain of the world is tough at present, and booking in for a coaching consultation, or even investing in yourself for coaching, might seem counter-intuitive, but it has helped many many people to turn the tides, create healthy wellbeing habits, and clearly focus on where they need to be.

It isn’t an easy journey always - but it is a journey that seems a little easier when you have a coach by your side.

So if you are someone who is looking for that moral support at the moment - that wants a little more depth than just goal setting, actions, and “drive, drive, drive” (like many a coach in my industry). If you are looking for someone in your corner who gets you, and takes the time with you and for you, then let’s hop on a call.

You have nothing to lose AND I know that you will totally get something out of even the first meeting.
